Burning Software

Hi Guys,

Just wondering what software you use to burn your divx/avi files to dvd? I followed the tutorial but my version of Nero does not allow me to ad a video_ts folder etc.

I also used another software and created the video_ts folder, inserted the dvdmini files, added my avis to the disc and burned at 4x on a high quality dvd-r but no luck getting SMS to read the disc.

Just wondering if there is a Nero alternative that you use?

Cheers,
Jess.

I used to use NeroVision which should convert the avi's and make a dvd structure, but i found it unreliable, didnt sync av/audio problems properly and didnt offer much in the way of quality..

I then tried ConvertXtoDvd, and have used it for the last 2 years, its fantastic to be honest, easy to use but pretty powerful if you want to make custom dvd's with fancy menu's etc.. and best of all its pretty cheap if you decide to buy it...

Its well supported, regularly updated and has a forum for support..

You can download and try before you buy...

@psi88
I don't believe that JessM21 is trying to make a regular DVD video out of his avi files. He's wanting to burn his files onto a disc that is to be recognized and played on SMS.

@JessM21
What version of Nero do you use? I use Nero 7 Ultra Edition (7.5.9 if I'm not mistaken) and I haven't had any problems with it. And I'm sure you did this next step but just in case you forgot, remember to go into the "Device settings" and uncheck the "Disable CD/DVD" option to start the reading of the disc. And just out of curiosity, what was the other software you used?

edit--I was just successful in creating an SMS DVD disc with ImgBurn so that's an alternative to Nero if you haven't tried it out yet.
