I am trying to access a share folder in win98se using argon and I can't get it to work. After googling for some info it seems that samba/cifs in win98 works in a particular diferent way (using netbios name)
Can you confirm this?

PS2client-gui
So I'm stuck using PS2client, because my Mac only supports it (so far as I know).
How do I use the shares function with PS2client? I didn't know whether to put the computer's IP address in the <server> field or how to format the <shares> field....
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated....
I'm running Argon and it works basically flawlessly. Weather and radio stations both work, it's just this shares thing that's driving me crazy.

There is no PS2client/ps2dev support anymore in Argon. Only Samba-shares are supportet.

smb = samba
Samba is a mainly linux oriented project which was created to give linux acces to windows shares. MAC already has support for the windows share protocol, just google for "how to access share folders between mac and windows"
in the argon xml file you basicly put the name of the computer or ip and the username and pass for that folder.

No, there is no source there, and it won't be released, cause:
- I see no one willing to continue the development,
- I see no one capable of that, I don't mean programming-wise, but simplicity-wise,
- I see lots of kiddie hackerz lurking around who will shred my poor program to smithereens for the sake of putting their name on that, adding some retarded skins, etc.
And yes, the project is closed, well if EEUG would come up with an H.264 decoder and would share the source I'll be more than happy to update it, but that's about it.

I think, there will be some good knowledged people (in future), that appreciate some stuff and keep the idea behind in mind.

Hm,... The PS2-Scene "survived" the "summer-hole" in a good way, so lets see what the winter brings.
I don't think, there will be an h.264-decoding. :-/
I hope there comes the time, when SMS do some more Hardware-Decoding (on Graphics Synthesizer for example).
Btw.: Please don't get bitched, by some people which seem to not like your apps.
(Removing the other app wouldn't help,... Already here, but I understand why you go this way. But I also understand the "smartypants" you call him,... ^^)

There may be a $50 PS2 H.264 & FLV decoder (as part of a media player) coming this year from CoreCodec/BroadQ - http://forum.corecodec.com/viewtopic.php?t=1223
The 'last' version of Argon is attached if someone wants to give it a try.
