It's a SONY Bravia 40W3000.
In previous version of SMS, there was no problem to display HD resolutions

It's the same as mine, with the difference that mine is NTSC, still, that shouldn't make any problem because both uses the same HD definitions (720p and 1080i)... very weird, i would check if the component cable of the ps2 is working fine. I think SMS doesn't support 576i, and it sure doesn't support 576p, that's why you have the screen divided.
EDIT: Now that i read more carefully your posts i see that your tv doesn't change resolution when you change to 720p or 1080i, if that's the case then the problem should at the component cable or the TV itself, it should change the resolution automaticly to match the one SMS is using... the most easy way to see if it's a fault of SMS or something else would be to load an old version of SMS (the last one that worked for you) and test if it works fine in HD, it it still doesn't work, then the problem is somewhere else, and f it works you should contact EUGG with your problem to see what it can be done.

Hi!
I've forget which version correctly display HD resolution
I've try with 2.8 and the problem is the same.
Where can I find oldest version of SMS ?
My YUV cable seems to be OK because I have tried it on a PS3 and it works great on 1080p.
I can't edit SMS.cfg because characters are crypted (?!)

I've found the mistake !
Indeed, there is a bad configuration with my Matrix Infinity.
In the boot menu configuration (triangle + round at startup), I've set the PS2 SCREEN FIX in PAL time ago, and now, I've put in AUTO and the HD resolutions are OK !!!
Sorry for disturbed the awesome underground PS2 scene !
**will throw out the window**

@EEUG - Thought you were on vacation so didn't expect a release. Nice surprise! ;-)
Changelog for Version 2.8 (Rev.6)
- some optimizations regarding avi indices;
- fixed some bugs in the FAT (USB) filesystem driver;
- fixed issues with .sub/.txt subtitles. Thanks to 'Karol Nowak'
for the research and sample files;

I just wat to say, most excellent update with Version 2.8 (Rev.6).
It now streams all my divx files flawlessly through the network.
I guess the optimization regarding avi indices did the job?
I do hope that the possibility to open DVD files (video_ts) is going to be possible in the next release(s)
Keep up the good work.

The ability to open DVD-Video VOB files inside VIDEO_TS is already implemented, though it does not work perfectly with all variants of them. This is partly due to differing standards used (apparently menu VOBs are quite different from movie VOBs), and partly due to PS2 limitations.
If you really meant that you expect full support for DVD menus, then you will be disappointed, as that is definitely not going to happen anytime soon.
The best we can hope for is for the program to identify the sequence of files that make up the main movie on a DVD-Video (possibly allowing for more than one such sequence, for extra material), and allow us to play such a sequence with automatic transfers, so we don't have to repeat the selection for each VOB file, like we currently must do. (The old 'play all files' feature can not be used, as it would crash on unsupported VOB types used in most DVD-Video menus).

Sorry, but... Is that a statement, or a question?
The PSP is able, to play MPEG4-AVC (h264).

I don't no xD
I am brazilian and my inglish is bad xD
I have one PSP, he can Plays MP4-AVC
the SMS can't play that format?
what is the difference enter MP4-AVC and X264? xD
and the psp can play in the resolution of 480x272
resolution of 1024 roll up most of the processor more he can not play at least 640x480?
so this is a question the contrary by the program works well here too ^^

I second this request, I usually have my PS2 hooked up to one of my older TVs, both are mono.

Making identical posts in multiple threads is considered spamming, and is against the forum rules. Repeated offenses may lead to various countermeasures by forum moderators. (Of which I am one.) So please don't do that again.
As for your statement that "all movies cames in rmvb", that is simply wrong.
As far as I know the most dominant format for movie and TV releases is still AVI, with video encoded as DivX/XviD and audio as MP3/AC3, which is all fully supported by SMS. And there are absolutely no reasons, technical or otherwise, for such releases to migrate towards the rmvb format.
I'm not saying that your problem isn't real. Evidently some material that you are interested in does come primarily as rmvb releases. But that does not mean that the format is in any way dominant on the 'scene' as a whole.
Best regards: dlanor

sorry
Sorry for the multi post, is just that i dont know english ver well, and i dind understand what was feature request.
About the rmvb format, i explain my self wrong, is not that all cames in rmvb, is that this format is one of the newest, and is very economy. With a 300mb file, you can get a movie with a very good quality. For a good quiality in avi you need more, and sometimes more than 1 gb.
I just wanted to know if sms player, would be able to play this format.
Thanks
